# Fatal Collision Kills Woman and Infant in Cleburne, Texas

On Wednesday, September 21, a vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 171 and County Road 310A south resulted in the death of a 23-year-old woman and a 5-month-old infant. The Texas Department of Public Safety is still investigating the fatal crash.

## Investigation into the Accident

Emergency responders, including Cleburne FD and PD, Johnson County DPS, and Johnson County sheriff’s deputies, quickly arrived at the scene of the two-vehicle [accident](https://thetexaslawdog.com/fort-worth/car-accident-lawyer/). Officials claimed the SUV failed to yield right of way at a stop sign. As the car pulled out from County Road 310A onto Highway 171, it was hit by a commercial truck.

The 23-year-old driver of the SUV, as well as the 5-month-old were both pronounced dead at the scene. The infant had been restrained in a car seat. Two other passengers, including a 55-year-old woman and a 2-year-old child, were taken to nearby hospitals in Fort Worth to be treated for severe injuries. The driver of the commercial truck did not sustain any serious harm.
