The legal team with the Texas Law Dog selects one student every year to receive financial assistance for their schooling. The firm picked Kayla Vaughn as the winner of the Animal Rescue Scholarship in 2024.

Like past scholarship winners, Vaughn will receive $1,000 to pay for her schooling. She received the award based on the strength of her essay, which demonstrated her love of animals and commitment to supporting their welfare. 

A History of Caring for Animals

Kayla attends The University of Texas at Dallas, pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Sciences degree. Her current coursework focuses on statistics, probability, data structures, and algorithms. These studies represent the building blocks used to develop software solutions.

Goals for After Graduation
